How to Choose the Right Watch Strap for a Patek Philippe Deployant Clasp

We also recommend confirming both the lug width and the width where the strap connects to the clasp. If you are unsure, please send us clear photographs of your watch, existing strap and opened clasp before placing the order.
Why Strap Length Is Just as Important as Thickness
Our standard strap length is 115/75mm, with a 115mm longer section and a 75mm shorter section.
This size works well for many customers, but it may not be ideal for every wrist. When used with a deployant clasp, the proportion between the two strap sections affects where the clasp rests beneath the wrist.
If the length is not suitable, the clasp may sit too far toward one side. The watch may still be wearable, but the clasp may feel less balanced or comfortable.
Wrist circumference is a helpful reference, but customers with a similar wrist size can still require different strap lengths. The size of the watch, wrist shape and personal wearing preference can all influence the final fit.
How to Find the Right Length
If your current strap already feels comfortable and the clasp sits in a good position, the simplest and most reliable method is to measure that strap.
Place both strap sections flat and measure the leather portions separately, without including the clasp. Please provide the length of the longer section and shorter section individually rather than only the combined length.
For example:
Long side: 115mm
Short side: 65mm
A photograph of each strap section beside a ruler is also helpful, as it allows us to confirm how the measurements were taken.
If your current clasp does not sit comfortably, please also send us a photograph showing its position beneath your wrist. We can then consider whether the proportions of the two strap sections should be adjusted.
