Alcantara Watch Straps: A Softer Look for Autumn and Winter

As the weather cools, we find ourselves reaching for different textures: a knitted sweater, a wool jacket, a favourite scarf. A watch strap can be part of that seasonal change, bringing a new feeling to a watch we already love.

Our first Alcantara watch strap collection explores this softer mood through five colours, hand saddle stitching and Zermatt calfskin lining.

Why We Chose Alcantara

What drew us to Alcantara was its fine, softly textured surface. Beside a polished watch case, it creates a gentle contrast, adding depth to the pairing without drawing too much attention away from the dial.

We wanted to bring that texture into a strap that feels considered and easy to style. The design stays simple, allowing the colour, stitching and watch to work together.

Choosing a Colour for Your Watch

The collection includes Dark Grey, Burgundy, Warm Cocoa, Deep Emerald and Powder Blue, each offering a different starting point.

For a silver case with a white or silver dial, Dark Grey creates a restrained, balanced pairing. Powder Blue takes the same watch in a lighter direction—a lovely choice if you usually wear darker straps and want to try something different.

With a cream dial or yellow gold case, we particularly like Burgundy and Warm Cocoa. Their warm tones complement these details and sit naturally alongside autumn clothing.

Deep Emerald brings a richer touch of colour. We like it with a simple dial, where the strap has space to become part of the watch’s character.

These are starting points rather than rules. A small detail on your dial, or a colour you enjoy wearing, can be the inspiration for a more personal combination.

Familiar Craftsmanship, a New Texture

Each Atelier Tamago Alcantara strap is hand saddle stitched and lined with Zermatt calfskin. Alcantara forms the outer surface, while the calfskin lining rests against the wrist.

We bring the same care to proportion, stitching and finishing that we give to our leather straps. Whether paired with a dress watch or an everyday favourite, we want the result to feel thoughtfully made.
