The Origin (Why “Tamago”?)
In Japanese, tamago means “egg.” An egg is a quiet promise — a beginning before form, before expression. Inside it, something is already there. Not yet visible, but present. A kind of impulse to become. This is where our straps begin. Not as objects. But as quiet companions to what you are becoming.
Each morning, when you fasten one to your wrist, it is not really a statement. More like a reminder — subtle, private — that something can begin again.
We make each strap by hand, one at a time, in a small workshop. The leather will soften over time. It will darken a little, change a little, and slowly become yours.
