Client Note — Grand Seiko × Swift Bleu Abysse

Some pairings introduce a completely new character.

This Grand Seiko, shared by one of our clients, is paired with a custom Swift Bleu Abysse strap.

Client Note

Against the finely textured silver-white dial, Bleu Abysse creates a contrast that feels distinct yet composed.

Its deep blue tone draws attention to the watch without overwhelming the delicate character of the dial. At the same time, it subtly echoes the blue seconds hand, allowing the color to feel naturally connected to the watch rather than added separately.

Swift leather brings another layer to the pairing. Its smooth grain and gentle sheen complement the highly polished surfaces of the case, while its softness gives the watch a more relaxed and personal character on the wrist.

The result feels clean, contemporary, and quietly expressive—a familiar watch seen from a slightly different perspective.

Material Note — Swift Bleu Abysse

Swift Bleu Abysse is a deep blue that changes subtly with its surroundings.

Under softer light, it appears dark and restrained, almost approaching navy. In brighter conditions, its richer blue undertones become more visible, revealing considerably more depth than a conventional dark blue.

The smooth, fine grain of Swift leather allows the color to remain the main focus. Its naturally soft and supple feel also makes it especially comfortable from the first wear, without requiring a lengthy break-in period.

Bleu Abysse works particularly well with cool-toned cases and light-colored dials. It introduces color while retaining a sense of restraint—distinctive enough to change the character of a watch, yet versatile enough for everyday wear.
