How Burgundy Togo and Sauge Swift Behave on the Wrist
A quiet note based on impressions shared with Paulo
At Atelier Tamago, we often find that a strap reveals itself slowly. Not in the moment it is first worn, but in how it begins to settle into daily rhythm.
This note is based on impressions shared with us by Paulo after spending time with two straps — Burgundy in Togo leather and Sauge in Swift leather.
Rather than a review, this is closer to an observation of how material, light, and wear interact over time.
Burgundy — Togo

Sauge — Swift

Sauge - Swift
The prettiest shade of green I’ve ever seen. It has a very noticeable earthy quality to it, which really does react differently depending on the piece it’s paired with. With rose metals, the warmth shows more prominently, almost adding a hint of taupe depending on how the light catches it. With yellow or white metals, the green aspect gets further highlighted into a cooler character. With the plain leather, the dressed down feeling prevails, but in a way that makes the timepiece more approachable, not less elegant. On the contrary, it makes it so the watch feels much more natural on the wrist.
Seen together, they do not compete for attention.
They simply behave differently on the wrist.
And that difference is what gives them character.
